LIGHTNING SPEED
DEVELOPMENT
Football is a game of speed.
Everywhere you go the major test that coaches want
to know about is your
40-yard dash time. SST's Sports Performance Coaches
will teach players how to run the 40 yard dash properly,
thus maximizing their time. SST's unique combination
of power-sled training, plyometrics, parachute running
and over-speed training allow players to perform at
their maximum speed.
Player Can Expect:
- Learn proper starting techniques for the forty yard
dash
- Benefit from identification and subsequent correction
of weaknesses when running the 40 yard dash
- Decrease your 40 time by up to 5/10 using correct
technique for maximum sprinting power
AGILITY
& QUICKNESS TRAINING
Linear Speed is the one of the
keys to football success. Agility, lateral and change
of direction may actually
be a more important skill to possess as a football
player than linear speed. SST has seen many football
players who have great track speed but unfortunately
cannot transfer this to the playing field. Football
is a game of starting and stopping. Offensive players
use their quickness and agility to avoid defenders.
Defensive players use their quickness to avoid being
blocked and to make tackles. To maximize a player's
change of direction SST incorporates the use of agility
ladders, sleds, bungi and parachutes.
Players can expect:
- To find out how sled work dramatically increases lateral
speed
- To learn hundreds of different variations on the
agility ladder
- To be exposed to SST's positional Agility Lactic
Acid program which will have you gasping
for air!
BONE
CRUSHING STRENGTH
Football is a game where interior
players take a few steps then aim at driving their
opponent to the ground.
SST has seen many players who are strong in the weightroom
but lack true Functional Strength on the playing field.
How many times have you lost your grip or could not
hustle your opponent to the ground? SST's Blitz Program
will make certain that you are the player on top in
each and every play. This untraditional method of training
is great for not only the big people but also QB's,
WR's, LB's, TE's, RB's and DB's.
Players will be put through unorthodox and unconventional,
but highly effective, training modalities such as:
- Tire Flipping - to
develop the posterior chain (hamstrings and Glutes).

chain of muscles contributes about
60% of the power to sprinting speed
- Sledgehammer Work - to enhance core and grip
strength
